We are looking to hire a specialist in the paid search arena. This includes both Bing and Google ads. The chosen applicant will be working with a number of different industries and clients. They will be familiar with SEM copywriting, planning tools and estimating, optimizing campaigns and be comfortable with providing updates and reporting to clients.
-SEM creative copywriting. This includes keyword, ad copy and extension creation.
-A passion for keeping up with the latest industry changes and news.
-Understanding optimizations possible within the platforms and knowing when to implement.
-Being comfortable with understanding our SEM operations and adapting these guidelines into your everyday work.
-Handling client feedback and working with clients to provide a campaign tailored to their KPI goals.
-Gathering data and tracking of campaigns to ensure performance is on pace for delivery.
-Communicating and collaborating with team members to ensure the right media mix within a budget.
-Minimum one year experience in paid search advertising, including campaign management. Pay will commiserate with previous SEM experience and knowledge. We are hoping to find a candidate with experience working in all aspects of SEM, but are willing to train the right person.
-An understanding of keyword research tools and planning.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally.
-Strong attention to detail and organization.
-Experience interpreting data and providing rationale in a clear, concise manner.
Not required, but considered an asset:
-Completed Google Ads Search Certification and Microsoft Search Advertising Certification.
-Some SEO knowledge.
-Familiar with website analytics and conversion tracking.
-Familiar with project management systems (we use Basecamp).
-We offer remote positions, but also the opportunity to work in one of our offices located across Western Canada if desired.
